The classic circuit runs Shimla to Manali by road with Kufri, Kullu and the Solang valley on the way; Atal tunnel opens Sissu and Lahaul for the snow. Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj add the monastery and the cricket ground, Dalhousie and Khajjiar the quieter pines. Kasol and the Parvati valley are the trekking base.
