Srinagar is the base: a houseboat or a hotel on the Boulevard, a shikara at dawn, the Mughal gardens in the afternoon. Gulmarg is the gondola and the snow, Pahalgam the Lidder valley and the meadows, Sonamarg the road towards the glaciers. Katra and Vaishno Devi fit at the start or the end.
